Venezuela Is Suffering
HAVANA TIMES – On June 24, in the middle of a meeting with our team members in Venezuela, their house began to shake, and through the screen we watched them run to a safer place. Although they were not in the states hit hardest by the earthquakes, the tremors were still extremely strong.
It was only later that we began to grasp the magnitude of the disaster farther to the northeast, in Caracas and La Guaira. I say “we began” because even two days after the earthquakes, each passing hour brings reports of more deaths, injuries, and displaced people.
Our deepest condolences and heartfelt hopes go out to all those who are still searching for their family members and friends.
