Exhibition: 5th Marine Art Salon Marks Cojimar’s Anniversary
HAVANA TIMES – On Saturday, July 18, the 5th Marine Art Salon opened, this time under the title “Nothing Is So Blue.”
The exhibition features 13 artists working in a variety of techniques, including oil on canvas, ink on cardstock, pastel on cardstock, and digital printing. It also includes a sculptor who uses seashells to create figures and a crochet artist who was inspired by the theme to create a series of handbags.
This salon is held every year around this time and focuses on marine themes. The participating artists are from the local community.
In this exhibition, we see new visual artists exploring the marine genre, with very good results. The show was inspired by the anniversary of the founding of Cojimar and its connection to the sea.
It will remain open through August 17 at the Mariano Rodriguez Gallery, located at the end of the promenade in the Pan-American Village. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
